We Teach The Way They Learn©

Mrs. Tamara Gill is a positive, driven, energetic lady who is thrilled to join the DePaul family as our Instructional Coordinator.

Mrs. Gill hails from the beautiful island of ‘Sugar City,’ St. Kitts in the Caribbean. She has taught at high school and elementary levels for many years. She has even hosted a radio talk show which engaged young people, canvassing their ideas and thoughts on issues affecting them, their role in the community around them, and the world at large.

She exhibits passion and drive as she advocates for the positive development of youth.

In 2011, Mrs. Gill was presented with the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow award by the Rotary Club Sunrise for her outstanding contributions in empowering youth.

Tamara is a well-traveled lady and an intellectually curious individual, who is culturally sensitive and socially perceptive with excellent interpersonal skills, able to deal effectively with people of cultural, ethnic, and racial diversity.

She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies with a minor in Marketing from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, with a concentration in Advanced Teaching and Learning Curriculum from the University of North Florida, where she was inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society after earning a 4.0 G.P.A.

Advancing the ethos “Just be Happy!”, Tamara embraces the deeply seated belief that with a healthy mind in a healthy body, one can increase one’s mental agility while withstanding the day to day physical demands of the world of work.

As a former collegiate track athlete, Tamara is a fitness maven who does the Mommy Shuffle of family, work, and working out - a combination that epitomizes a woman of the new age. Her hobbies include running 5 K’s, reading, and dancing to Soca music. She enjoys the diversity within different settings and embraces the opportunity to learn something new every day.

Mrs. Gill is married to David Gill and they have two children, Danielle and Dylan. She is also a proud chow mommy to Bailey Bear.
